baby’s 24 weeks.

Dr Suzanna was right when she said baby will start moving frequently when we’ve reached the 6-month mark. Every time baby moves, my heart swells with such joy, thinking of the little human being I am carrying in me. I rub my tummy more often now and will talk to him/her about things like, “Sorry tadi Mama makan cili padi, I cannot eat if tak pedas,” or things such as, “Sorry Mama couldn’t see you today cos your Ayah was late in fetching me.”

The latter, was in reference to last Wednesday, when we had arrived at KKH Clinic D an hour after our appointment time. My husband was held up at work prior to fetching me and after registering, the nurse informed us that Dr Suzanna would not be seeing anymore patients for that day. I could feel my heart break. My husband diam aje lor cos his fault what hahahaha.

But fret not. The appointment has been rescheduled to this coming Wednesday morning and I demand that my husband stay awake after Subuh so we won’t miss meeting baby again :p

Anyway, I just texted my mum to ask if she and my dad are able to bring me to the Baby Fair in July. They have a car, which means I can buy bulkier items eheheh.

I feel that this would be a good time to go since I am due in mid-September and I haven’t bought a single thing yet (sorry, baby!). I’ve been reading Dyan’s posts as reference for my planning and Dyan, I just wanna say that you are God-sent!

I was reading her post about the Moo Moo Kow cloth diapers a while ago and my husband who was beside me watching cat videos (don’t judge hahahaha) on his phone, suddenly blurted out, “We should consider cloth diapers eh. More cost-saving.” Woo, talk about telepathy. But if we decide to use cloth diapers, I was thinking along the lines of:

So cute kan! My baby nanti jadi anak lembu hahaha. I have a strong feeling my husband was referring to this, when he brought up the topic about cloth diapers:

“Dulu my arwah Mak pakaikan my sister ni. Senang, cuma cuci je,” he said. I’d better do the buying and he, the washing, nyehehe.

Btw, I am still looking around to buy the Tula baby carrier in plum posy print but to no avail! Any supermamas who has any lobangs on where I can get it? Takut tk beli ngigau pulak.

baby’s 23 weeks.

That’s my 12-year old sister who insisted on taking this picture “to compare baby bumps” which was damn hilarious because she just ate MurtaBurger (basically burger in a murtabak) all by herself.

And yes, that’s my 23-week old baby bump, which has received ‘mixed reviews’ thus far. I have received comments aplenty from makciks asking questions like…

“Kecik nah perut?”

“Ni pregnant ke tk pregnant?”

Just to list a few. Initially I would just smile and say,”Takpe, janji baby sihat.” However after the same comments were given over and over again, I would just smile and say nothing because I am a human being and I do get tired listening to insensitive comments from insensitive people.

I must admit, I do get worried sometimes when I think about my small baby bump. I would constantly rub my tummy asking,”Baby okay tak?” or even a “Baby, tak nak tendang Mama?” which, come to think of it, mcm a little bit psycho la actually hahaha.

However, meeting Dr Suzanna last month made me feel at ease. After a detailed scan, she mentioned that for 20 weeks, baby is just the right size and there’s still room for him/her to grow. Why him/her?

Because during the detailed scan, baby wouldnt show anything down there. Even after shaking my tummy a few times, all the sonographer could say was,” Aiya, not clear. Nehmind next month we scan again.” You should have seen my disappointed face having to wait for another 4 weeks to know baby’s gender.

Which reminds me, next week would be my next appointment with Dr Suzanna, yay! Maybe I should selit some questions about why my baby bump is smaller than average as compared to other pregnant mummies.

Just to add, at 23 weeks, I am most probably the slackest (laziest maybe) mum-to-be ever. I havent bought anything for baby yet but searching online, nevertheless, has been an ongoing process. Yours truly, is currently in love with the Tula Posy Print!

Currently out of stock on Baby Carrier Singapore and maybe a blessing in disguise because I am still clueless about baby’s gender :p

Truth be told, reading supermummy blogs such as Rina’s and Dyan’s really helped a lot. I didnt know what a LennyLamb, a Tula or a Boba was until I read their blogs hahaha. And Ili has been awesome in blogging about her cheap baby purchases, which I may follow suit when I reach my… Third trimester, maybe?

Future mum-to-bes, please dont be malas like me hor! Please be rajin like the abovementioned mummies to feel assured during your pregnancy, heheh.
Here’s a clearer photo of my baby bump:

Yes la, small. But not cute meh?! Cute what.

Videography

This outburst of anger came about after I found out last night that the abovementioned videographer joined IG as a photographer who “specialises in maternity and child photography” under a different company name.

I am beyond appalled.

It’s almost 5 months past our wedding. Have some basic courtesy to update your exisiting clients who are clueless regarding their wedding video progress. Or at least update your clients on whether your company is still alive and running.

Note: I’ve removed this videography’s company name from my vendors list. Too upset to even let it stay there.
